Change of Plans

Well my plans for the first 3 months have changed a little.  I will not be running a full marathon until the fall.  I had an ITB and shin injuries at the end of last year.  I've taken it easy the beginning of this year and I have only run 46 miles so far.  I will pick it up soon, just have to make sure I don't re-injure myself again.

I have changed my training plan a little.  I'm trying to focus more on strength training to strengthen my legs.  I've added P90X and other body weight exercises to my routine and cut down the miles.  Callean and I have been doing P90X together and we have just completed week 3.  GOTTA GET STRONGER!!!!

My revised schedule is below:

March 16th - Rocket Run Ten Miler - Mooresville, AL

April 2nd - Double Helix 5K - Huntsville, AL

May 27th - Cotton Row 10k - Huntsville, AL

June 8th - Mountain Mania 15K - Decatur, AL

June 22nd - Huntsville Sprint Triathlon - Huntsville, AL

July 20th - HTC Twilight 5K - Huntsville, AL

August 31st - Monte Sano 10K - Huntsville, AL

September 7th - 9.11K Commerative Run - Redstone Arsenal, AL

October 19th - Liz Hurley 5K - Huntsville, AL

November 9th - Huntsville Half Marathon - Huntsville, AL

December 14th - Rocket City Marathon - Huntsville, AL
